The ways that magic work as defined by society

2. Blood Magic- The name is misleading as blood has no real connection to this class of magic. The only true difference between natural magic and blood magic is who gives the sacrifice the name comes from when animals or even people would be killed in ritual sacrifices in the old world. But the life force, connection to the caster or so forth was what the true sacrifice consisted of, not the blood itself. Though outlawed almost everywhere, many casters combine natural and blood magic to cast very powerful spells in order to survive them.
3. Planar Magic- This calls for energy or matter to be traded between planes. Most planar casters are devout clerics or paladins who are able to channel a deity's power directly. This can come with little to no direct cost to the caster if the deity is controlling the planar shift.
